The Hub of All Things (HAT) Ecosystem
The Hub of All Things Ecosystem is a network of organisations working to change the Internet using data accounts belonging to individuals or Micro/SMEs through the ownership of their own Decentralized Data Servers. DDS are built on the open sourced HAT technology, created through the original £1.1m 6 U.K. universities UKRI funded grant project that has since expanded to more than £33m funding in the space of personal data, decentralization and digital transformation. The Ecosystem is made up of numerous commercial, non-profit, and research organisations dedicated to enabling every Internet user to legally own, store and use their own personal data in their personal data servers.
The ecosystem is managed by Dataswyft, the operator of the technology and the network, under oversight of the HAT Community Foundation (HCF) serving participating micro/SMEs, startups, enterprises and universities in the United Kingdom and around the world.
